The Talkabouts
Formed in 2004 originally under the name Holden; The Talkabouts were an instant hit. With Glen Griffiths on lead guitar, Paul Holden on lead vocals/piano, Dave Gonzalez on bass, Nev Williams on Drums and Dave Griffiths on Keys, you see a myriad of mixed styles that not only work together, but you realise this was meant to be. Constantly building a loyal fan base they have caused a buzz in the local scene. With this, they gather kudos and have written with many of Liverpool’s finest producers. They supported The Pretenders at Liverpool’s well renowned Summer Pops 2007, which just showed how credible this band are, if not just for the fact that Chrissie Hynde raved about them, but for the fact that the 4000 seated stadium was crammed with fans dying to see them. When you see this band live, you get the usual pat on the head; pap that is rife in the industry at the moment, but you get an experience you will take with you and want to relive over and over again.
