  • Kieron Richardson is best known for playing the role of Ste Hay in Hollyoaks and prior to that Ricky Smith on Heartbeat. Whilst more recently, Kieron has been the focus of ground-breaking documentaries including “Raised By Queers” for Channel 4’s Season Of Love. This explored same-sex parenting whilst observing his own and husband Carl’s experiences as they prepared for the arrival of their twins via a surrogate. 

    A multi award winner, Kieron won ‘Best on Screen Partnership’ alongside co-star Emmet J. Scanlan at the 2013 British Soap Awards. He has been at the forefront of many of the shows biggest storylines, including being wrongfully accused of killing his ex-partner Amy Barnes and led the soap’s biggest and most controversial storyline in its history. Kieron took a break from filming Hollyoaks in 2019/20 to appear in Kay Mellor’s stage adaptation of the British television crime drama series ‘Band of Gold’. Kieron is set to make his return to Hollyoaks in October 2020. 

    In 2014 Kieron launched his career as a TV presenter after appearing as main presenter on ‘Challenge Live’ which then saw him take on other ventures as a television presenter on Christmas Live, Halloween Live and No Exit Live. He began presenting radio in 2011 with his own show on Gaydio. 

    Other TV appearances include “This Morning”, “Celebrity Juice”, “All Star Family Fortunes”, “The Wright Stuff”, “Big Brother’s Bit on the Side”, “I’m a Celebrity – Extra Camp” while he also reached the final of ITV’s flagship “Dancing On Ice” with partner Brianne Delcourt, after gaining his personal high score of the series he went on to finish in an impressive third place.
