Ishbel Straker
Ishbel Straker is a leading mental health expert and justice campaigner. After becoming one of the UK’s youngest ever directors of nursing, Ishbel became a clinical director and before opening her private mental health support practice in Liverpool, she was head of nursing overseeing most of the UK’s prisons.
Her private practice grew quickly with clients from the ambulance service during the pandemic to Premier League footballers, a role which brought her to the attention of the mainstream media when Liverpool Football Club appointed her to help the first team players deal with the impact of trolls and social media abuse.
In 2025 Ishbel created the Foundation for Regulatory Justice, a CIC dedicated to bringing justice to whistleblowers and reforming regulatory bodies who regularly fail fitness to practice standards.
An author and mum of 4, in 2025 Ishbel created the Centre for Women’s Wellness, a groundbreaking new totally holistic and clinician led model designed to radically improve health outcomes for women of all ages and backgrounds. The model launches later in 2026.
